Facilities at the London Lupus Centre
We provide the following:
- Physicians trained under Professor Graham Hughes Lupus unit
- Full lupus screening
- Patient advice and literature
- Lupus pregnancy advisory service
- Full Rheumatology Service
We also provide an inpatient service, a Lupus "screen" for those patients who need a full assessment, including comprehensive tests of kidney, cardiovascular and immunological status.
Professor Hughes and his team are dedicated to finding a cure for lupus. A research facility has been established and work is on-going to discover ways of improving the outlook and lifestyle of lupus patients.
General Rheumatology
Seven of the medical team are consultant rheumatologists and all are teaching hospital physicians. We are now in a position to broaden our referral practice to general rheumatology. We are offering comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic assessment for all rheumatic diseases, as a well as a rapid appointment system (usually within 48 hours).
